MEDITATION FOR THE SPIRITUAL WARRIOR

The spiritual path asks us to hold qualities that can seem contradictory.

Discipline & Surrender Autonomy & Communion Wisdom & Compassion Emptiness & Wholeness

Meditation for the Spiritual Warrior is an eight-part self-paced course exploring how these polarities can be practiced, embodied, and integrated through meditation.

This is not about becoming harder.

It is about developing the clarity, courage, openness, and presence to meet life more completely.

What does it mean to be a Spiritual Warrior?

The word warrior can easily suggest struggle, force, or conquest. A zero-sum effort resulting in polarity and the perpetuation of duality.

The Spiritual Warrior walks the razor-thin line of non-duality. Turning toward experience rather than away from it. Meeting what arises with awareness: to engage when engagement is needed, surrender when surrender is called for, stand alone when necessary, and remain open to authentic relating.

Meditation is the core practice that gives us a laboratory for this work.

We begin to see where we are fixed to one side of a polarity: effort without surrender, autonomy without communion, wisdom without heart, compassion without clarity.

Rather than choosing one side over the other, practice invites us into a deeper integration.

This course explores that territory.

THE 8-MODULE JOURNEY

Eight practices. Eight doorways into a deeper path.

Each module explores one dimension of the Spiritual Warrior through teaching, contemplative practice, and guided meditation.

01

Polarizing to Purify

We begin with polarity itself.

Life constantly presents us with apparent opposites: doing and being, strength and vulnerability, self and other, form and emptiness.

In this opening module, you will explore how consciously inhabiting these polarities can reveal where you are identified, contracted, or fixed—and how awareness can create greater freedom within them.

02

Discipline

Nothing develops without practice.

Discipline is the willingness to return: to sit down, pay attention, stay with the process, and continue when inspiration has disappeared.

This module explores discipline not as rigidity or self-control, but as a form of commitment to what matters.

03

Surrender

Not everything can be accomplished through effort.

There are places on the path where the attempt to control experience becomes the very thing preventing us from going deeper.

Here we explore surrender as an active practice of letting go: releasing our insistence on how things should be and becoming more available to what is actually happening.

04

Autonomy

A mature path requires the capacity to stand on your own feet.

Autonomy means taking responsibility for your practice, your choices, your development, and your relationship with life.

This module explores the inner ground from which we can become less dependent on approval, certainty, and external authority while remaining deeply connected to others.

05

Communion

True autonomy does not end in isolation.

As our capacity to stand on our own develops, so does our capacity to meet others without losing ourselves.

This module explores openness, vulnerability, connection, and the possibility of entering relationship without either grasping or withdrawing.

06

Wisdom

Meditation changes the way we see.

As awareness becomes clearer, we begin to recognize how much of our experience is shaped by identification, interpretation, habit, and self-reference.

This module explores wisdom as more than understanding. It is the capacity to see more clearly and to allow that seeing to change how we live.

07

Compassion

Awareness does not only open the mind. It opens the heart.

Compassion develops as the separation between “my experience” and “your experience” becomes less absolute.

Here we explore how meditation can deepen our capacity to remain present with suffering—our own and that of others—without turning away, collapsing, or trying to immediately fix it.

08

Love

The course culminates in the territory of love.

Not love as sentiment, but as a fundamental openness to life.

We explore the tension between the impulse to grow, change, create, and become—and the deeper recognition that reality does not need to become something else before it can be fully embraced.

The path of the Spiritual Warrior brings these two movements together.

INSIDE EACH MODULE

A course to practice,
not simply consume.

Each of the eight modules includes three complementary elements, moving from understanding into direct experience.

LEARN

Course Lesson

A pre-recorded teaching with Miles exploring the central theme of the module and its relationship to meditation, spiritual practice, and everyday life.

PRACTICE

Practice Video

A practical exploration designed to help you work with the module theme directly rather than leaving it at the level of ideas.

MEDITATE

Guided Meditation

A guided contemplative practice that takes the theme onto the cushion and helps you explore it within your own experience.

Move through the course at your own pace

There is no cohort to keep up with and no deadline to complete the material.

You might work through one module each week and complete the journey in eight weeks.

Or you may choose to spend longer with a particular theme before moving forward.

The important thing is not speed.

It is practice.

These themes—discipline, surrender, autonomy, communion, wisdom, compassion, and love—are not concepts we master once. They are territories we return to at different stages of our lives and practice.

Your lifetime access allows the course to remain a resource you can revisit.

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR

Who is this course for?

Meditation for the Spiritual Warrior is for people who want meditation to become more than a technique for feeling calmer.

You do not need an advanced meditation practice to participate.

You do need curiosity, a willingness to practice, and an interest in looking directly at your own experience.

It may be especially relevant if you:

  • Already meditate and want to explore the deeper developmental dimensions of practice
  • Are interested in the relationship between contemplative insight and everyday life
  • Find yourself wrestling with effort versus surrender
  • Want greater autonomy without disconnecting from others
  • Want wisdom and compassion to become lived capacities rather than spiritual ideals
  • Are drawn to an embodied and integrative approach to spiritual practice
  • Want a structured course you can follow without committing to a live cohort

MEDITATION FOR THE SPIRITUAL WARRIOR

The path is practiced one moment at a time.

Spiritual practice often asks us to hold qualities that can seem contradictory.

Discipline & Surrender
Autonomy & Communion
Wisdom & Compassion
Emptiness & Love

These are not problems to solve by choosing one side. They are capacities to explore, integrate, and embody.

Meditation for the Spiritual Warrior gives you eight structured opportunities to enter that practice more deeply through teaching, embodied inquiry, and meditation.
